Re: Communication via ETS board hardware (PC to DUT):

I would like to inquire whether it is possible to communicate via the ETS board hardware, for example, to access the DUT's web server. The aim would be to use it to perform functions such as updating the DUT's firmware or retrieving operating information without having to constantly reconnect the n...

Re: Test result “PassWithHint”: what does that mean?

Using the Automated Runtime Tester sometimes the test result PassWithHint is reported? Could you explain this result a bit more. A PassWithHint is generated, in case a value is allowed, but not the recommended value defined in the PROFINET specification. The resulting hint is put in the test report...

The cycle rate is dependent on the capabilities of the DUT and has to be configured individualy.
Currently 8ms is the fastest cycletime that is used on the ETS.

Is it possible to set/change the cycle rate of the ETS tester for in House tests? Currently it is not possible to adjust the cycle rate. Some Testcases modify the cycle rate and/or iterate through the possible cycle rates. It would be quite problematic in certification to guarantee the usage of all...

Sometimes "Get MAC-Adress" does not work - what could be the reason? (Connection to ETS is established!) The "GET MAC-Address" feature is using the LLDP packets to find the different MAC-Addresses. We try to wait as long as possible, but we need an LLDP packet to be recieved at ...

Our custom PowerOutlet DLL is not recognized/selectable in ART Tester 2.46.0.205 under Windows 11. It seems to be Windows specific, because the same PowerOutlet DLL is working with the same ART Tester version on a Windows 10 computer. The DLL was generated with the .NET 8 framework and Visual Studi...

But please note, that ART does only test the device or the controller part. Not a combination.
