Crush test of cable

The specification requires that PROFINET Type A/B Cable of various structures must pass the Crush test. We noticed that the requirements for 1 pair and 4 core/2 pair are 3000N, but the requirement for 4 pair is lower at 2000N.
We thought that 4 pairs should be relatively strong in terms of structure, so we were curious about the purpose of this test.

4x pairs of category 6a and above cables are foamed to comply with the transmission specifications, so they can withstand less in the crush test. That was the reason for the decision at the time.
We will add the topic on the agenda of next the CB-PG1 meeting (2024-09-23) to clarify whether a consistent presentation is possible here.
