Different part number for ET200SP device

Post

Hello,

I am about to place an order for a ET200SP (the "d" device) to finish my in-house tests. Requested my local representative for a "6ES7155-6AU01-0CN0" but they quoted me a "6ES7155-6MU01-0CN0". Comparing their datasheets the only important different is the fact that the latter supports other protocols, which is fine for me.

So my question is, can I move forward and order this item (6ES7155-6MU01-0CN0) instead of the one (6ES7155-6AU01-0CN0) stated in page 23 of Technical Specification for PROFINET?

Just need to be sure ART-Tester and TIA Portal V19 are going to work with this device.

Thanks.

Hello,

right now this ET200SP is used for InterOp testing, Netload Testing and Fiber Optical tests. As I hear of this new successor for the first time, we have to clarify this within the Test System Development Group. I will let you know the outcome within the next week.

Best regards,
Raik

Hello Raik,

Exactly, InterOp and Netload are my only missing in-house tests. Have the test setup ready, including a PC with Ubuntu, just waiting to get this EP200SP and finish everything.

Will wait for your feedback.

Thanks for your help,
Luciano.

Hello,

For the record, performed successfully above tests with the "6ES7155-6MU01-0CN0" instead of "6ES7155-6AU01-0CN0" (recommended). No problem detected whatsoever.

Luciano.
