Hello PROFINET Forum experts.
Our equipment is undergoing certification testing. The test results from the certification laboratory using the same version of the test suite are inconsistent with my own test results. The Test tool version information: ART(2.45.0.2), ETS(2.44.4.2).
In the certification laboratory testing, four test cases failed. But When I retested these cases using ART, they passed. These differences leave me confused.
Analyzing the logs of TEDCheck (CLRPC) returned by the certification laboratory.
It indicates that LLDP frames have not been received, as shown in the following figure.
But I can saw LLDP messages sent by my devices in the packet capture files.
I am looking forward to receiving a prompt from you so that I can continue analyzing the problem.
Best Regards,
LJD

Re: TEDCheck (CLRPC) test failed
I do not know if this is cause for the issue, but your device misbehaves regarding usage of MAC Addresses.ljd wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025, 08:25 Hello PROFINET Forum experts.

In network capture files provided, all three ports use the same MAC Address, which is even identical to the Chassis MAC Address. Maybe this causes the tool to create this error message.
Expected behavior: Each port uses it's own Port MAC Address which shall be different to the actual Chassis MAC Address.

Thank you for your answer.
It is common practice in layer 2 switching devices to use the same MAC address for all ports.
There is another situation, in my own testing using ART and ETS, this test case passed.
My own test results are inconsistent with those of the certification laboratory, and this difference is quite strange. Comparing two test logs, I cannot find the reason for the failure.
Could you please help me check if there are any abnormalities in my logs?
The attachment Self_Test_TEDCheck (CLRPC).7z is my testing logs.

Re: TEDCheck (CLRPC) test failed
I am sorry, but i cannot help any more. I think you need to get in contact with the test lab. They should be able to tell you what is wrong. If not, they should know who to ask...ljd wrote: ↑09 Sep 2025, 03:59Hi,benja_m wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025, 13:49I do not know if this is cause for the issue, but your device misbehaves regarding usage of MAC Addresses.ljd wrote: ↑03 Sep 2025, 08:25 Hello PROFINET Forum experts.
