Can a V2.5 IOD Use All Features in a Mixed-Version PROFINET Network?

Post

If only one IOD in an existing PROFINET network is upgraded to V2.5, can it use all V2.5 features, or are some features restricted unless the connected switches and/or neighboring devices are also upgraded to V2.5?

In principle, upgrading a single IOD to V2.5 does not limit its operation due to an unchanged switch or other IODs. V2.5 relies on standard switching mechanisms, so mixed network topologies (V2.4 and V2.5) are generally supported.
