The process should end with a successful validation. If you have this problem, please try common problem solutions. Like download bundle again, reinstall tester and try with new image and try different SD-card.Webinar_Question wrote: ↑09 Sep 2024, 09:57 When I use the balenaEtcher to flap, I almost always get an error message that the verification did not work, is that ok?
Please also check your version of the Balena Etcher. Please only use version 1.18.9 or earlier. There are known bugs in later version. 1.19.x regarding images with .xz ending.

I had the same problem as the original post, where Balena Etcher (v 2.1.4) would notify of an unexpected failure after the full flash and validation. I also confirmed that the ETS would not connect to the PC with the improperly flashed SD card. Uninstalling Balena Etcher and installing version 1.18.9 solved the problem for me. It would be great if a note regarding Balena Etcher version could be added to the ETS User Manual for everyone's easy reference.

I use the current rufus-4.12, which has always worked so far. I always have problems with Baleana and didn't know that I had to use a specific version. I can only install it briefly, otherwise our IT department will complain about security issues again.
