We provide with every test bundle a new ETS FW which has to be used on the ETS. Please consider its update with every new bundle version.
There is no plan to change the HW version of the ETS. But in general, we are dependent on the manufacturer of the ETS HW which is Texas Instruments.

Image with FW for the SD card is always shipped with Automated RT Tester, and you should always use the image provided with the version of the ART you are using.
As for HW, two versions of the SoC exist and as far as I know, no further revisions are planned. First version of the SoC is not supported anymore by ETS FW, but that should not be an issue, as second revision is the only one you can buy from TI now.
