Hello,
Whenever I try to run the PROFIsafe test (under Additional Testcase -> Profiles), I get an error message saying:
09:12:21 - Starting Testcase: PROFISAFE V2.4 STARTUP
09:12:23 - Configuration Test step 2: No PROFIsafe capable submodule with the selected version PROFIsafe V2.4 is available in the current configuration. The test case is skipped.
09:12:23 - ERROR: EtsConnectionState is Undefined. Check configuration / connection.
09:12:23 - ERROR: The connection to the ETS was lost. Further test execution is aborted.
09:12:24 - Test execution finished.
My device does not support any profile, not even PROFIenergy. However, PROFIenergy test is skipped.
So my question is; is it normal these ERROR messages above? Since it's not support, I was expecting another skip.
Thank you.
PROFIsafe test returning a connection error
Re: PROFIsafe test returning a connection error
In your case the messages are only in the log, correct? In the report the tests are reported as skipped.rottava wrote: ↑06 Feb 2025, 13:27 Hello,

I also see those ETS connection messages from time to time, and I usually ignore them...
Re: PROFIsafe test returning a connection error
In the Certification Report those tests appear as "None", in red. PROFIenergy indeed appears as "Skip".
And in left-hand side, the test panel, those PROFIsafe V2.4 and V2.6 don't have the black dot indicating test was skipped. I am ignoring these messages for now as well. But since I am about to start the official certification process, didn't want to submit logs with errors, even false positives.
Re: PROFIsafe test returning a connection error
Guys, don't bother. Switched off everything, waited 5 min and powered up again. Run those tests only and they were skipped.rottava wrote: ↑06 Feb 2025, 17:28In the Certification Report those tests appear as "None", in red. PROFIenergy indeed appears as "Skip".

That's good enough for me.
Thanks.
