What's the difference between G1_XIST1 and G1_XIST2 when G1_XIST2 reports the actual encoder position?

In case of absolute encoders G1_XIST1 and G1_XIST2 report the actual encoder position.
The shift factor of G1_XIST1 could be set to different value (freely defined and may not match the internal resolution).
This would increase the overall resolution of the encoder.
The difference between both is:
- G1_XIST1 can be increased above the total resolution of the encoder using the complete range of this signal
- G1_XIST2 shall use only the bits representing the total resolution of the encoder
