What is DCP?
DCP is a PROFINET specific protocol providing device discovery and configuration (e. g. assigning the device name and IP configuration).This means Discovery and Configuration Protocol. It is used to set the IP address, NameOfStation or to Identify devices in the network. It is also used to reset these properties.
