Is it planned to upgrade the speed to 100 Mbit ?
Yes. The 100BASE-T1L standard is in the process to be published. Profinet will support this standard as soon as physical implementations are available and the certification supports 100BASE-T1L.
Right now the support for 100BASE-T1L is worked into IEC63444-ED3 to be released late 2026.
