Are there plans on changing the CP1616 card to some other HW? Today it's very difficult to find a PC with a PCI slot only. PROFIdrive tester tool are changing the test HW to a standard S7-1500 CPU.

You say that old PC’s with PCI slots can still be used. Yes, as long our company IT policy allows you to operate these kind of PC with legacy OS. With all the cyber security threads this can be a challenge. The question if you have some recommendations on a kind of PCI to PCIexpress adapter that can be used stable with the CP1616 card?

Unfortunately, the CP1616 is the only option for now. Other hardware platforms were investigated, but could not meet performance requirements or would pose problems for certification by a notified body. Concrete models for PCI-to-PCIe adapters have yet to be tested so that a recommendation can be given.
