Changes allowed without triggering recertification

What modifications to an already certified Profinet device are permitted without necessitating the recertification process again ?
If the modifications have no influence to the communication a recertification is not necessary. But you need extend your certificate to the new Software Version via a vendor declaration to the PI. They will decide if a recertification is necessary or not.
