Profinet organization membership

Is it necessary to join the PI organization to develop and integrate Profinet into a product ?
You do not have to be a member to develop and integrate PROFINET into a product, but the PNO recommends to have the devices certified. For more information, click here: https://www.profibus.com/download/how-t ... net-device
As member you have some benefits in developing and integrating PROFINET into a product (e.g. access to technical documentations or the possibility to use the Test Software for inhouse testing): https://www.profibus.com/download/software-and-tools
