Hey,
if a device is certified for application class 4, does this device automatically receive certification for application class 3? Or does the device have to be certified separately for both application classes?
And can motors with brakes be used for the tests, or is it not allowed?
PROFIdrive certification for AC3 and AC4
Re: PROFIdrive certification for AC3 and AC4
The device has to run the certification for application class 3 in addition. There are common features between application class 3 and application class 4 (e.g. parameter channel), but there are as well exclusive features for the different application classes. For example the application class 3 requests the extension of the basic positioning state machine and the program sub mode.BB214 wrote: ↑15 Jul 2024, 15:40 Hey,

Motors with brakes can be used in certification. It shall be clearly communicated to the certification laboratory how to release motor brake.
