Does the Community Stack already have PROFINET Security Class 1 implementation/support?
The Community Stack is a separate project within PI (PROFINET International). The planning, strategy, implementation and release of the contributions is carried out by the "Community Stack Development Group" (CSDG). I therefore ask for your understanding that these questions must be answered by the CSDG.
Of course, the Community Stack will be expanded by the CSDG and new functions will be added. And it is therefore only natural that PROFINET Security Class 1 / 2 /3 will also be included in the Community Stack.
But: To make it clear once again: The Community Stack is not a devkit and should therefore not be seen as code that you can simply "plug" into your existing device. The Community Stack is intended for technology providers and experienced developers who want to act as an "in-house" stack provider. For simple device integration, it is always recommended to use the expertise of a technology provider and to use an existing devkit purely on a SW basis or with an additional ASIC / FPGA / communication module.
