Can you please provide more information on the status and future plans for PROFIdrive / Encoder Profile Tester?
Are there plans to use ETS for the related tests?
In this context: Which S7 PLC exactly replaces (or in future shall replace) the CP1616? Is it S7-1516?

In this context: Which S7 PLC exactly replaces (or in future shall replace) the CP1616? Is it S7-1516?
The future strategy is to replace the CP1616 completely. There are no plans to use ETS for PROFIdrive and Encoder certification. Profile Tester Version 6, planned to be used for official certification within the next months, no CP1616 is supported anymore. You can use each S7-1500 PLC starting with firmware version 2.6.
